Kevin Chern
Kevin Chern has spent over 28 years building businesses and navigating complex paths
to success. He founded and operated three successful startups in the legal, marketing
and technology verticals helping to expand access to legal services, including 2
national, multijurisdictional law firms. His companies have twice been on the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing private companies in America. He was named an inaugural member of the Fastcase 50 , as one of the country’s smartest, most courageous innovators, techies, visionaries, & leaders in the legal space.
He is passionate about entrepreneurship and mentoring other business professionals.
Kevin takes pride in lending his insight and experience to other business leaders and
entrepreneurs and just about anyone in need of a roll-up-your-sleeves innovator, deal
maker and doer.
Kevin is a proud Chicagoan and lives just blocks from historic Wrigley Field. He loves a
good game and hanging out with his wife and their Dog, Murphy.
Chad Wold
Chad Wold brings a breadth of experience as a practicing attorney and in operation management of numerous companies. Chad attended the University of Montana for undergraduate studies in business & marketing, graduate studies at the University of Oxford in international law and business, and obtained his law degree from the University of Buckingham.
Chad has 25+ years of operational experience both in law firms and general business enterprises. He has managed private companies and equity firms including the role of Managing Director/General Counsel for Pacific Rim Partners and was responsible for leading the raise of $300MM+ primarily in China for U.S.-based projects. Most recently Chad has led the growth of a national law firm that has been ranked as the #1 fastest growing law firm in the U.S. the last 3 years in a row.
Chad currently works with BizHead law clients on optimizing business and tax strategies to successfully achieve their short and long term growth goals.
Jeff Gorski
Jeff Gorski is a graduate of Trinity High School, Marquette University and the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. He has spent more two decades representing the citizens of Kentucky in a wide variety of legal matters. Jeff is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Kentucky as well as the Southern District of Indiana. Jeff is deeply involved in numerous charities and, in his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, camping and playing golf.
Anthony Bux
Anthony Bux has worked in numerous leadership roles in the legal vertical since 2005. He has served in critical capacities in scaling two start-ups to north of $30MM in ARR, giving him an unparalleled perspective on what it takes to be successful in marketing, sales, operations and finance. He has repeatedly navigated the complex process of evaluating the root cause of business challenges and identifying both the correct process and partners to work through such challenges.
Anthony utilizes his skills, knowledge, and relationships in operations, marketing, sales, finance and legal to help businesses eliminate the barriers and unnecessary costs associated with the growing pains of scaling a business. Anthony’s pillars in every relationship are trust and credibility.
Anthony is a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland area and currently resides in the city with his wife, Rebeca, their baby daughter, Luna and their dog, Maisie.
Michael Bane
Michael Bane has almost two decades of experience in the areas of legal, operations, and consulting fields. Previously, he was the Director of Operations at the country's largest, consumer bankruptcy law firm. Michael was responsible for many initiatives designed to improve efficiency and effectiveness nationally across the organization. Prior to that, he managed his own consumer protection law firm for five years.
In addition to his work at BisHead Law, Michael previously served on the Board of Directors for The Safe Haven Network, a charitable organization dedicated to finding housing options for domestic violence victims and their pets. In his free time, Michael enjoys running and spending time with his wife and young daughter.
Michael earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago Illinois he was a member of the National Moot Court Society. He earned his B.S. in Molecular Biology from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Preston Van Winkle
Preston Van Winkle is a seasoned legal professional who practices law, operates small businesses, and has managed law firms, both large and small. Driven by his passion for entrepreneurship, Preston brings a wide range of unique advisory tools and experience to the table – wanting nothing more than to see fellow business builders and leaders succeed at the highest level. As an attorney, his work primarily revolves around strategic transactional counsel for corporate and private equity clients of all sizes. Most commonly, Preston helps his clients navigate corporate governance, executive compensation, securities, complex M&A transactions, and strategic tax planning matters. In doing so, he leverages his skills, relationships, and a well-rounded background of representing clients in very diverse industries which include software, technology, healthcare, professional services, and emerging companies.
Having grown up in Washington State, Preston received his J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law and now maintains a professional presence in both his home community as well as the greater metro area of Austin, TX.
Michael McEldowney
Michael McEldowney is an adept and client success oriented operations and account manager with extensive experience cultivating lasting relationships in the legal and professional services industries. Throughout his professional career, Michael has demonstrated a proven ability to improve internal processes by developing strategic initiatives that promote operational efficiency, growth and bottom-line profitability. . Prior to joining Biz Head Law, Michael spent the past 8 years managing attorney networks for two national law firms and a national pre-paid legal services plan
Until recently relocating to Southern California with his wife and two kids, Michael was a lifelong Chicagoan and still enjoys catching a Chicago Bulls or Bears game at every opportunity.
Michael Alan Mento Jr.
Michael Mento Jr. has been mastering the craft of marketing and web development for over 20 years. Successfully running an ad agency and managing over $3 Million dollars annually in ad budgets for companies like T-Mobile, Heinz, UPMC and Penn State University. Michael brings a world of experience and outside the box thinking to the team. Mastering ad campaigns and lead generation funnels, his focus remains on a seamless user experience. An analytic at heart, no task is too miniscule to help boost the bottom line.
A graduate of UCF but born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA - where he currently resides. Michael enjoys plenty of outdoor activities with his 2 sons and wife, and ironically, his dog "Kevin". A huge fan of all Pittsburgh sports and a former junior hockey player, Michael spends a lot of his free time on the ice coaching his kids hockey team and playing adult league hockey. He also loves hitting the lynx for 18 holes every few weeks during the summer.
